NMC’s General Health Awareness Campaign for MOL’s employees

NMC Healthcare lately organized Health Screening and General Health Awareness Campaign exclusively for Ministry of labor employees with an objective to reduce the incidence of diabetes, to ensure early diagnosis and reduce complications, morbidity and mortality and minimize the impact of diabetes on society, besides improving the quality of diabetes treatment and care, ensuring that this is accessible, community based and with a patient centered approach.

Specially trained medical staff from NMC Specialty Hospital Abu Dhabi screened MOL’s employees for diabetes and offered tips for prevention of diabetes and healthy living.

NMC Healthcare in Women’s 3F Health Awareness Show

NMC Healthcare successfully partnered in the recently concluded  HEALTH AWARENESS EVENT by Nutreema Advertising LLC – Women’s 3F Show (FOOD, FITNESS AND FASHION).

Over 500 women, including U.A.E based diplomats, nutritionists, and doctors, attended the second Women’s 3F Show at the Beach Rotana Hotel, Abu Dhabi held yesterday.

Dr. Paul Stanley Thoppil, MD, DM, Fellowship in Electrophysiology, Interventional Cardiologist, NMC Specialty Hospital, Abu Dhabi presented a lecture on Heart Attack -its recognition and its first aid.

NMC Specialty Hospital, Abu Dhabi conducted various free medical tests and health screening programs including Cholesterol, Blood Glucose, Blood Pressure, Body Mass Index and screened the visitors for diabetes, hypertension and obesity.

NMC Healthcare partnered with Abu Dhabi Municipality in Environment, Health and Safety awareness drive to control environmental impacts resulting from workplaces and to ensure safe and healthy conditions for all workers in the Emirate.

Abu Dhabi Municipality’s EHS policy aims to achieve excellence in the management and protection of the environment, health and safety, through partnership between all government and private sectors to ensure activities within Abu Dhabi Emirate are undertaken in a responsible, safe and sustainable manner.

NMC’s Health Awareness campaign to mark WORLD HEALTH DAY at Al Ain Distribution Company

On the occasion of WORLD HEALTH DAY, NMC Healthcare organized three days health awareness campaign in association with Al Ain Distribution Company.

The event was held on 8th, 9th and 10th of April 2013 at the corporate office, Mirfah power Plant and AADC Power generation center, Kuwaitat.

NMC Specialty Hospital, Al Ain conducted various health screenings such as BP check, sugar test, BMI, Oral and ENT screenings to approximately 250 employees during the three days of the event.

NMC Specialty Hospitals, Al Ain’s specialized medical team Dr. Khalid Abdulhassan, Dental Surgeon and ENT Surgeons Dr. Abhay V. Inamdar, Dr. Rashmi and Dr. Sanjeev Joshi (ENT Surgeons) conducted screenings for their respective specializations.

The New York University Abu Dhabi held a one-day internship fair organized by the Career Development Center at the NYU Abu Dhabi on Tuesday, 2^nd April 2013, where almost three dozen prospective employers mingled with hundreds of interested students and alumnae.

NMC Healthcare, as a preferred employer of choice, interacted with talented and bright NYUAD students, from 72 different countries, trained in the areas of Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, Education, Journalism, Business, Pre-health, Social Science as well as Arts and Humanities to name a few.

NMC’s plastic Surgeon got elected to the apex body of the plastic surgery society of UAE

Dr. B. Venkata Ratnam, Head, Department of Aesthetic and Reconstructive Plastic Surgery, NMC Specialty Hospital, Abu Dhabi, got recently,  elected as “Vice-President” of the Emirates Plastic Surgery Society.

 

The Emirates Plastic Surgery Society is the national-level professional association of Plastic Surgeons working in the UAE. It is also the official Plastic Surgery wing of the Emirates Medical Association (EMA).

The tenure will be for a period of three years, from 2013 to 2015.
